Getting Ad Clicks but Few Bookings? Where Physio and Chiro Inquiries Leak
By Justin Chambers ·
Your ads are getting clicks. People are visiting your page. But the booking calendar is not filling the way you hoped. It is one of the most common frustrations for physiotherapy, chiropractic and rehab clinics that start advertising.
The good news is that the problem is usually not the ad. It is somewhere between the click and the booked visit. This article walks through the places people most often drop off, and a simple way to check each one.
1. The page does not match the ad
If your ad talks about back pain and the link opens your home page with a list of twelve services, many people will leave. They clicked for one thing and cannot see it.
Send each ad to a page about the same thing the ad mentioned, with a clear next step at the top. One page, one message, one button.
2. Booking takes too many steps
Count the taps from your ad to a booked appointment, on a phone. Many clinics are surprised by how many there are: a home page, a services page, a "contact us" page, a long form, then waiting for a call back.
Cut steps wherever you can. If you use online booking, put the button where people see it straight away. If you prefer a call back, keep the form short and say when you will call.
3. The page loads slowly or is hard to use on a phone
Most people who click a social media ad are on a phone. If the page is slow, the text is tiny, or the button sits below a large photo, they give up.
Open your page on your own phone, on mobile data rather than Wi-Fi, and see how it feels. If you find it awkward, a stranger will too.
4. Nobody replies quickly
Someone dealing with a sore shoulder or a stiff back often contacts more than one clinic. Whichever clinic replies first, and makes booking easy, often gets the visit.
Decide who watches new inquiries and when. Send an automatic reply straight away saying when a person will get back to them, and keep that promise.
5. People are unsure what the first visit involves
A new patient may wonder how long the first visit takes, what to wear, whether they need a referral, or whether their extended health plan covers it. If your page does not answer these, some will hold off "until they have time to look into it", and never come back.
Add a short "what to expect at your first visit" section. Keep it factual: length, what to bring, how payment works. Avoid promising results.
6. The ad is reaching the wrong people
Sometimes the clicks really are the issue. If your ads reach people far outside your area, or people looking for something you do not offer, they will click and leave. Check where your clicks come from, and tighten the area and wording if needed.
How to check all of this in an afternoon
Click your own ad on a phone and try to book. Note every step.
Fill in your own form, and time how long the reply takes.
Ask a friend who has never seen your site to book a first visit, and watch where they hesitate.
Look at where your ad clicks come from, by area.
Fix the biggest gap first. Small changes at the step where most people stop usually matter more than a new ad.
